Security Officer

Overview

We are seeking enthusiastic customer service-focussed , dedicated and vigilant Security Officers to join our team,

You will play a crucial role in maintaining a safe and secure environment within a fast paced exciting , premises, in the city centre.

As a member of the Scotguard Security Team you will be responsible for monitoring day to day activities, of staff, contractors and visitors and ensuring the safety and security of all individuals on site. Focussing on positive customer interactions, Loss-prevention and targeting Antisocial behaviour.

Duties

Conduct regular surveillance to detect suspicious activities or breaches of security and any potential terror threats.

Patrol designated areas to ensure the safety and security of the premises and public.

Respond promptly to emergencies, alarms and incidents, taking appropriate action as necessary.

Conduct thorough inspections of buildings, grounds, and equipment to identify potential security risks.

Assist in loss prevention measures.

Provide first aid assistance when required and ensure that emergency procedures are followed.

Maintain accurate records of daily activities, incidents, and observations for reporting purposes.

Collaborate with local agencies when necessary.

Electronic security systems and surveillance techniques is advantageous.

Knowledge of loss prevention strategies is beneficial.

Mandatory Requirements

Right to work .

Valid (SIA Door Supervisor ) is required.

(SIA security licence holders will be considered, but would be required to up skill to DS)

(This is a licensed premises )

Strong communication Skills

observational skills with attention to detail.

Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

Ability to remain calm under pressure and respond effectively in emergency situations.

Must be available for weekends, evenings and bank/public holidays.

Job Types Available :

Full-time & Part-time

Shifts available:

12 hour shift 07:00 - 19:00

Day shift - Monday to Friday

Day shift - Saturday and Sunday

Weekends only

Early 07:00 - 14:00

Late: 13:00 - 22:00
