About the client:



Our client is a well-established organisation operating within the trading and logistics sector, known for maintaining high standards of professionalism and operational integrity. With a strong presence in Leeds, West Yorkshire, they pride themselves on creating a secure, efficient, and supportive working environment. As their operations continue to grow, they are seeking a dedicated Security Officer to join their team and help uphold the safety and protection of their staff, premises, and day-to-day activities.



Working Pattern:



Monday to Friday between the hours of 14:00 - 22:00



Responsibilities



Monitor and maintain the security of the premises, including conducting regular patrols.

Handle access control procedures, verifying identification, and issuing visitor passes.

Respond promptly and effectively to all security incidents, including alarms, emergencies, and potential threats.

Report any suspicious activities, hazards, or violations of security protocols to the appropriate authorities.

Assist with emergency procedures and evacuation protocols, ensuring the safety of all individuals on-site.

Maintain accurate records of incidents, security checks, and any relevant information.

Communicate with the customer about any issues.

Collaborate with the wider security team and other departments to uphold a safe and secure environment.

Conduct regular staff searches using a randomiser

Being proactive towards visitors/contractors/unknown persons entering site

Challenge staff not following procedures

Being friendly to all site personnel

Reacting to intruder and fire alarms

Opening the site in the morning (Officer 1)

Locking and arming the premises when staff finish (Officer 2)



Requirements:



A valid SIA Front Line Licence is essential.

Previous experience in a similar security role is desired but not essential; training will be provided.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to handle challenging situations calmly and professionally.

Strong observational skills and attention to detail, ensuring all security protocols are followed.

A proactive and vigilant approach to security, with the ability to assess and respond to potential risks.

A professional and customer-oriented mindset, dedicated to delivering exceptional service.
