Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and vigilant Security Officer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for our clients, employees, and visitors. This role requires a proactive approach to security, including monitoring premises, enforcing rules, and responding to incidents as they arise. The Security Officer will play a crucial role in loss prevention and ensuring the overall safety of the facility.

Duties

Monitor and patrol assigned areas to ensure safety and security. Respond promptly to alarms and emergency situations, providing first aid or CPR as necessary. Conduct surveillance using CCTV systems to identify suspicious activities. Enforce facility rules and regulations while maintaining a professional demeanor. Collaborate with law enforcement agencies when necessary. Manage conflicts effectively, utilizing conflict management skills to de-escalate situations. Prepare detailed reports on incidents, observations, and activities during shifts. Assist in loss prevention efforts by identifying potential theft or security breaches.

Requirements

Proven experience in security, law enforcement, or military service is preferred. Knowledge of first aid and CPR techniques; certification is a plus. Familiarity with surveillance systems, including CCTV operation. Strong conflict management skills with the ability to remain calm under pressure. Excellent observational skills with attention to detail. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written. SIA license required; CCTV license required; Must be able to pass background checks as required by company policies.
