Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and vigilant Security Officer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for our clients, employees, and visitors. This role requires strong observational skills, the ability to respond effectively to emergencies, and a commitment to upholding safety protocols. The Security Officer will play a crucial role in preventing loss and ensuring the safety of property and individuals.

Responsibilities

Monitor and authorize entrance and departure of employees, visitors, and other persons to maintain security of premises. Conduct regular patrols of the facility to deter and detect signs of intrusion or suspicious activity. Respond promptly to alarms, incidents, or emergencies, providing first aid or CPR when necessary. Utilize surveillance equipment such as CCTV to monitor activities within the premises. Collaborate with law enforcement agencies when required and assist in investigations related to security breaches or incidents. Implement conflict management techniques to de-escalate potentially volatile situations. Prepare detailed reports on security incidents, observations, and activities during shifts. Participate in ongoing training programs related to loss prevention, surveillance techniques, and emergency response.

Experience

Previous experience in security, law enforcement, military service, or a related field is preferred. Familiarity with first aid and CPR certification is highly desirable. Knowledge of surveillance systems (CCTV) and loss prevention strategies is advantageous. Strong conflict management skills with the ability to remain calm under pressure. Excellent observational skills with attention to detail in identifying potential security risks.
