Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated and vigilant Security Officers to join our team.
As a Security Officer, you will be responsible for safeguarding our client's premises, assets, and personnel.
You will play a key role maintaining a secure environment and deterring potential threats.
Working a 50hr Monday to Friday from 08:00 to 18:00.
Possibility to work weekends and bank holiday.
Main Duties
Conduct regular building patrols both external and internal of the premises to ensure security.
Comply with the front of house requirement.
Monitor surveillance cameras and alarm systems.
Respond promptly to alarms and incidents.
Maintain a visible and professional presence.
Enforce site Policies and Procedures, Assignment Instructions and SOPs.
Write detailed incident reports.
Collaborate with local law enforcement agencies where necessary.
Provide excellent customer service to clients and visitors.
Assist with emergency response and evacuation procedures.
Training:
Fully and satisfactorily complete all required competency training.
To undertake additional training to ensure continuous self-development as directed by the Security Manager.
Use technology to achieve key work objectives and develop job knowledge and expertise through continual professional development.
You are required to ensure you renew your licence 16 weeks before expiry.
Protection and Health & Safety:
Look out for, and to immediately report, any Health & Safety hazards, or potential hazards, on site.
Stay alert to any threats or changes within the work environment in order to take the appropriate action to reduce the chance of disruption, loss, or damage.
Use common sense and initiative by immediately involving others if a situation appears to become threatening.
To maintain professional conduct in the face of difficult situations and challenging customers.
Complete an accurate, detailed notebook entry as soon as possible after any incident, which can then be used as part of the Incident Report process.
Keep to schedules and demonstrate commitment to Mitie and the Client.
To ensure check calls are being carried out at the allocated time slot as stipulated in the Assignment Instructions (AI's).
To call emergency services and Regional Operations Centre to report all incidents.
What we are looking for
Proven experience as a Security Officer in related roles.
Valid Security Licence (DS &CCTV).
Valid First Aid Certificate (EFAW or FAW).
Strong Observational Skills and Security Situational Awareness.
Excellent Communication Skills.
Physically fit and capable of standing and walking for extend periods.
Basic Computer Skills.
Flexibility to Work Various Shifts, including days, nights, Bank holiday and weekends.
DBS Check.
