15.50 per hour - zero hour contract

Position Summary:

As a Security Officer at our busy Central London venue, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safety and security of our visitors, staff, and property. You will be the first point of contact for many guests, providing a visible and reassuring presence while maintaining high standards of professionalism and customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

Maintain a strong and visible security presence across the venue.

Monitor entry and exit points, ensuring safe access control and adherence to visitor policies.

Carry out regular patrols of all public and restricted areas.

Serve as one of the venue's welfare officers

Respond quickly and appropriately to incidents, emergencies, and alarms.

Support crowd management during peak times, events, and exhibitions.

Handle lost property, accidents, or disturbances with professionalism and tact.

Operate CCTV and radio communication equipment as required.

Liaise with management, emergency services, and contractors when necessary.

Provide excellent customer service, assisting visitors with directions and general enquiries.

Write accurate and timely incident and daily activity reports.

Adhere to health & safety, safeguarding, and security protocols at all times

Experience:

Skills and Attributes

Valid SIA Door Supervisor Licence (essential).

Previous experience in security, visitor attractions, or customer-facing roles (desirable).

Strong communication and conflict management skills.

Ability to remain calm under pressure and deal with incidents effectively.

Flexibility to work varied hours, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays

Confidence:

Leading and/or supporting in the event of a security or first aid incident
