Rate: 14.30 per hour

Shift Pattern: Monday- Friday

We are looking for an experienced, highly motivated Security Officers to work at one of our prestigious University Campus located in an iconic part of London. Responsibilities:

Deliver outstanding customer service to staff, students, and visitors. This is a fundamental aspect of the role Take an active interest in, and give commitment to the client Ensure that the environment and service is truly excellent and beyond expectation Promote the client positively to all you come in to contact with, throughout the customer journey Be flexible and adaptable to all tasks or challenges Be highly presentable, accountable; take responsibility and ownership for any tasks identified or allocated Ensure all contact, be it internal or external; by telephone, face to face or any other medium; is clear, courteous, polite, professional, and respectful Ensure complete client/tenant/other service provider confidentiality; protecting people and information is paramount Appropriate use of CCTV/access control and any other electronic management system, and completion of reports and documentation in a timely fashion Be familiar with all Security and Emergency procedures on site All Assignment Instructions are to be reviewed, understood and followed Completion of rostered duties and all associated tasks or responsibilities to the highest possible standard To complete any other reasonable task as instructed by your line manager or other Senior Manager, either Unitrust or at the request of the Client. To act with integrity and in the best interests of the company and client in a safe, compliant and ethical manner To be resilient to working in the most sensitive environments, always dealing with any conflict with a respectful and empathic approach Be prepared to manage a wide variety and diversity of scenarios, people and challenges Assist in the induction, development, or ongoing training of new team members across the disciplines where appropriate

SECURITY SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:

Welcome and assist staff, clients, students and visitors to the premises in a warm and courteous fashion maintaining excellence as a standard throughout the customer journey Ensuring that no unauthorised persons are permitted in prohibited areas Check identity and credentials of staff, contractors and visitors where required Work with all colleagues to ensure the integrity of security on the site Early identification and mitigation of any threats to persons, premises or property, escalating where appropriate to do so Rotation on different posts and shift patterns where required Have an outstanding knowledge of the premises (inside and external) and able to assist staff, clients, students, and visitors with their queries Respond to alarms Key Control Record details of any suspected criminal activity on the premises (internal and external); commencing investigative procedures prior to onward reporting where necessary. Develop and maintain positive interactive relationships with all staff, visitors, students, service providers and clients

Essential Skills:

Excellent communication skills. Exceptional customer service skills Reliable, trustworthy, and punctual Self-confidence and an interest in self-development. Physically able to conduct all responsibilities associated with the roles documented Ability to work to instruction and on your own initiative where required Computer literate and confident with the use of Microsoft Office programmes Flexibility regarding working practices, hours, and responsibilities. Operation of any CCTV/access control communications in an appropriate manner
