Job Summary

We are looking for a vigilant and team-oriented

Security Officer

to join our dedicated team at a busy distribution centre. The successful candidate will work alongside 5 to 10 officers to ensure the safety of the site, staff, and assets. This role requires excellent communication skills, a proactive mindset, and the ability to manage 12-hour shifts across both day and night rotations.

Responsibilities

Monitor CCTV systems to identify and respond to any suspicious activity Conduct regular patrols to deter unauthorised access and ensure site integrity Respond swiftly to alarms, incidents, and emergencies following established protocols Support loss prevention efforts by identifying risks and implementing preventative measures Maintain clear and accurate records of daily activities, incidents, and security breaches Communicate effectively with team members, site staff, and visitors Collaborate with emergency services or law enforcement when required Uphold site policies and contribute to a safe working environment

Requirements

Previous experience in a security role, preferably within a distribution or logistics setting Strong communication and teamwork skills Ability to work 12-hour shifts (day and night) Familiarity with surveillance systems and incident reporting First aid certification is a plus; training can be provided Valid SIA licence preferred Professional, calm, and reliable under pressure
