We're looking for exceptional Door Supervisors to join our Roman Baths security team, helping protect the site for generations to come. With over a million visitors every year, including celebrities, dignitaries and other high-profile figures, it is a prestigious, historic site which dates back more than 2000 years in places!
Role & Responsibilities
As a member of our team, your role will be to protect the Roman Baths, including during special functions held on site, as well as ensuring the safety and security of council staff, visitors and colleagues.
You will be:
Working as part of a team that includes other security officers, door supervisors, close protection officers and council staff
Providing a physical security presence
Meeting and greeting visitors
Controlling entry to the site
Patrolling throughout the site
Managing conflict should it arise
Recording incidents, security & safety concerns
Maintaining excellent communications, both written and verbal
Personal attributes
We're looking for a Door Supervisor who is friendly and welcoming, with a calm disposition. Ideally you will enjoy working with the public and be confident in de-escalating any situations that may arise.
You will be working closely with staff employed directly by the Roman Baths, so must thrive on working as part of a team and be able to take direction, whilst always maintaining your duties diligently and acting with integrity.
You will be smartly presented and report to work clean, tidy and on time.
Qualifications
You must have a valid SIA licence, ideally Door Supervision (DS) due to there being licensed evening functions. Close Protection (CP) licenses are also eligible for this role and further training will be provided.
Pay and Salary
Currently pay during main opening hours is 13.43 per hour, plus holiday and pension. You will be paid 14.27 per hour for special events.
Hours of Work
30hrs contract normally over 3 days a week.
Shift roster over 7 days a week; 0645hrs to 1700hrs or 0845hrs to 1830hrs.
Must be prepared to work any day of the week, which will include weekends and bank holidays on a roster basis.
Opportunity to work evening events at an enhanced rate of pay.
