Security Office - Salisbury Cathedral

Do you have what it takes to protect one of Salisbury's famous historic locations?

We are seeking an exceptional Security Officer to join our elite team based at Salisbury Cathedral.

As a member of the Venture Security team, you will be helping offer peace of mind to staff and visitors at this historic location. Not only that, you will be working alongside the Cathedral team supporting with events, traffic management and other caretaking roles that ensure the safety for staff and visitors.

This is a job that is central to the cathedral community.

What we need

Current and active SIA licence (either Door Supervisor or Close Protection) Previous experience in customer service and security work beneficial but not essential Be physically fit and able to work in a wide variety of environments in varying adverse weather conditions Ability to remain calm in all circumstances Smart, well-presented and confident

The role

Working as part of a team that includes Venture Security and Salisbury Cathedral Providing a professional physical security presence within the Cathedral grounds Meeting and greeting visitors and representing both Venture Security and Salisbury Cathedral in an exemplary manner Recording and reporting incidents, security and safety concerns through operational software Liaising with Salisbury Cathedral team as appropriate Maintaining excellent communications, both written and verbal
