Job Description

Event security officers are present at large events such as concerts, festivals and sporting events. They are tasked with keeping large groups of people safe. The general duties and responsibilities of an event security officer include:

Bag checks and frisking attendees to look for prohibited items. This could include weapons, cameras or outside food and drink. Checking tickets and looking for signs of fraudulent activity. Crowd control. Keep the crowd orderly, manage queues, prevent overcrowding, and direct people to avoid dangerous situations or bottlenecks. Identify problem attendees in a crowd. Event security will often monitor large crowds to look for signs of troublemakers so they can be removed. Assist attendees with directions, answer questions, and provide general help while maintaining a safe and secure environment. Monitoring backstage areas and access. From checking passes in the VIP area to keeping the general public out of backstage areas, this is an important part of event security.

Ability to follow instructions. Ability to remain focused and alert at all times. Excellent English communication skills. Excellent integrity.

Qualifications:

ACT Certificate (Blue) SIA (if you have) NVQ Level 2 and NVQ Level 3 for Supervisors and above roles Must have a valid Right to work in the UK

Pay: From 12.21 per hour
