Kepak Group is a leading food producer in Europe that specializes in meat, animal welfare, sustainability, and innovation. We are currently seeking a Security Relief Guard to join our team in ensuring the safety and security on our manufacturing plant in Bodmin.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for monitoring the premises, enforcing safety rules and protocols, and providing a secure environment for employees, visitors, and assets. This is a fast-paced and dynamic role that requires excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and a proactive mindset.

We are looking for someone who is fully flexible as this role will be required to cover all and any absences in the department, this can include day shift, night shift and twilight shift.

This role offers a working pattern of a 4 on 4 off shift basis this will usually be 06:00 to 18:00, Monday to Sunday with a 42 average paid working week. This role will need full flexibility to cover holidays and absences, which will include days, nights and possibly twilight shifts.

The pay on this role will depend on if you are covering a day or a night shift.

Responsibilities

• Patrol plant facilities to prevent and detect signs of intrusion, fire, or damage
• Monitor surveillance systems and alarms to investigate and respond to unusual activities or alarms
• Write and submit daily reports to document incidents, actions, and observations
• Provide directions, assistance, and customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors as needed
• Operate and maintain security equipment, such as radios, scanners, and access control systems
• Train new employees on security procedures, emergency protocols, and safety policies
• Collaborate with local law enforcement, fire departments, and emergency services to coordinate responses to incidents

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in security, law enforcement, or related field is desirable
• Active security license and CPR/First Aid certification is desirable but not essential
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and adapt to changing environments
• Basic computer skills to operate security systems and write reports
• Willingness to work flexible schedules including nights, weekends, and holidays
