Position Overview

Bidvest Noonan are seeking a dedicated and experienced Security Supervisor to oversee the daily security operations at Lisburn Civic Centre. This role is responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for staff, visitors, and the wider community, while supervising and supporting the onsite security team. The ideal candidate will be a confident, proactive leader with strong communication skills and a solid understanding of security procedures, incident response, and team management.

Key Responsibilities

Daily Security Operations


Oversee the day-to-day security management of Lisburn Civic Centre, ensuring all security protocols and procedures are followed. Monitor site activities, CCTV operations, access control systems, and alarm systems. Conduct regular internal and external patrols, ensuring the safety of the building and its occupants. Respond promptly and effectively to incidents, emergencies, and alarms. Ensure accurate logging and reporting of incidents, observations, and daily activities.

Team Leadership & Supervision

Lead, supervise, and support the onsite security team to maintain a high standard of professionalism and performance. Organise staff schedules, rotas, and breaks to ensure full coverage at all times. Provide ongoing coaching, guidance, and performance feedback to team members. Support the induction and training of new staff on site-specific procedures and standards.

Customer Service & Public Interaction

Act as a point of contact for staff, visitors, and event attendees, providing assistance and reassurance when needed. Handle enquiries and resolve issues in a professional and customer-focused manner. Support front-of-house security processes during events, public meetings, and civic functions.

Compliance & Safety

Ensure compliance with all security policies, health and safety regulations, and emergency procedures. Assist in risk assessments, security audits, and emergency planning activities. Liaise with management, facilities teams, local authorities, and emergency services when required.

Qualifications & Experience

Proven experience in a security supervisory role or senior security position, ideally within a public building or multi-use facility. Valid SIA licence (Security Guarding or Door Supervision). Strong understanding of security operations, incident response, and public safety. Experience managing or leading security teams in a busy environment. Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills. Ability to remain calm, professional, and decisive under pressure. Competent with security systems including CCTV, access control, and alarm monitoring.
