Join Our Team as a Security Supervisor:





The Security Supervisor is a key leadership role. Leading a team of Security Officers, the Supervisor is responsible for overseeing day-to-day security operations, ensuring compliance with health and safety standards, promoting staff wellbeing, and driving a culture of professionalism, vigilance, and excellent visitor service.



The Supervisor role has first line management responsibility for a team of security officers. The Supervisor will support the training and development of the security team, supporting the management team in ensuring the highest standards of presentation, behaviour and service are delivered to our customer and guests at all times.



You will be required to work five days out of seven, but these could be any days, so you would need to be flexible in the days you can work.




About the Role:





As a Security Supervisoryou will be responsible for:


To actively and positively supervise a team of security officers ensuring all duties are carried in accordance with procedures and policies and ensure compliance with legal, Company and contractual obligations at all times, such as the Data Protection Act, Health and Safety at Work Act and procedures outlined in the Company handbook and Assignment Instructions. At all times, supervise the conduct of the team (to include ability to complete tasks, attitude and behaviour) and ensure all personnel are briefed, trained to the required standard and subject to regular effective performance monitoring. Provide first-line Supervisory security response to incidents in public and 'back of house' areas and ensure an effective security response to alarm activations on the access control system, case alarms and perimeter activations. To actively check the Museum for H&S and Security issues and escalate accordingly and ensure that all faults are reported appropriately Ensure officers report for duty complete the signing in/ out duty sheets correctly and conduct duties in required uniform, are issued with correct equipment and supervise the daily issue of officer's keys and radios. To co-ordinate the daily rotation of the shift, perimeter and bag search teams with respect to tasks and breaks and conduct regular security post visits and monitor security patrols. To arrange cover for sickness, 'blow outs' and other immediate or planned absence.

What we are looking for:




Proven supervisory or management experience in a security, facilities, or public-facing environment. Strong leadership and people-management skills with the ability to motivate teams. Knowledge of health and safety legislation, security operations, and emergency procedures. Excellent communication, decision-making, and conflict-resolution skills. High level of integrity, professionalism, and reliability. Ability to work flexibly, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays. Front line SIA licence The ability to travel to and from central London during unsociable hours.
