Gatehouse Security Supervisor

Manor Drive, Paston Parkway | 13 per hour | 12 hour shifts - 4 days on, 4 days off basis.

We are seeking a reliable and professional

Gatehouse Security Supervisor

to join our team. This role is the first point of contact for staff and visitors and is key to maintaining the safety and security of the site.

Key Responsibilities:

Supervise the day-to-day operation of the gatehouse, ensuring all access control and security procedures are followed. Monitor and control site entry and exit for vehicles, staff, and visitors, conducting ID and vehicle checks as required. Lead, support, and motivate a small team of Security Officers to deliver a professional and efficient service. Prepare and manage staff rotas, ensuring appropriate cover for all shifts. Manage holiday requests, sickness absence, and shift swaps in line with company procedures. Conduct interviews, onboarding, and basic training for new team members. Operate and monitor CCTV and access control systems in accordance with company policy and legal requirements. Complete accurate and timely documentation including daily logs, incident reports, and visitor records. Carry out regular site patrols and respond promptly to incidents or alarms. Liaise with site management, contractors, and emergency services when required. Ensure all officers adhere to Health & Safety and site-specific security procedures. Deliver excellent customer service and act as the primary point of contact for site staff, visitors, and contractors.

Requirements:

Valid SIA Licence

(Security Guarding or Door Supervisor - essential). Proven experience in a security supervisory or team leader role. Confident in preparing rotas, managing holidays, and leading small teams. Strong communication and organisational skills, with fluency in spoken and written English. Computer literate (email, logging systems, CCTV software, and Excel). Professional, reliable, and punctual, with a smart and presentable appearance. Ability to remain calm, assertive, and professional under pressure. Flexible to work days, nights, and weekends (rotas prepared monthly). Full UK driving licence and own transport (site not accessible by public transport out of hours).
