We are seeking a self motivated and skilled Sales Engineer to join our growing security systems installation and maintenance business. The ideal candidate will have 4-5 years security systems installation experience, preferably within an NSI or SSAIB company.
This is a hybrid role for an individual who wants to mix working out on site as an engineer for 2-3 days per week and office based for the remaining portion of the week working on sales.
Our office is based in Leicester but we have national clients so willing to travel UK wide is a must.
The candidate must have security system installation experience working with a variety of systems. You will be required to be on site as an engineer to carry out installing / servicing / maintenance.
The sales role requires effective communication abilities in English, as well as proficiency in Excel for data management and reporting. The Sales Engineer will play a crucial role in presenting our security solutions to clients, ensuring their needs are met while fostering long-term relationships.
The candidate must demonstrate exceptional customer service skills.
Duties
Engage with existing and new clients to understand their requirements and provide tailored solutions.
Present technical information clearly and effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Manage customer inquiries and provide timely follow-up to ensure satisfaction.
Generate and provide customer quotations.
Maintain accurate records of client interactions and sales activities using office software.
Organise your own workload, be self sufficient and prioritise tasks effectively to meet deadlines.
Happy to be on our call out rota - 1 in 4 weeks.
Qualifications
Proven experience in a sales engineering or similar role within the security systems industry.
Strong understanding and experience of intruder alarm, access control, cctv systems.
Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively in English.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting.
Exceptional time management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks efficiently.
Strong organisational abilities to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
A proactive approach to problem-solving with a focus on client satisfaction.
