The Opportunity



We're seeking a dynamic Security/Business Operations Manager to transform our operational capabilities and drive national expansion. This role is perfect for someone who thrives on building systems, improving processes, and creating scalable solutions in a growing business.

Location:

Flexible/Remote with regular travel to sites

Salary:

36,000.00 (opportunities will be available for generous bonuses if targets are achieved)

Contract:

Full-time preferred, but open to discussing part-time/fractional arrangements for exceptional candidates

Key Responsibilities



Strategic Operations Management



Partner with directors to define and implement national service standards Lead system rollouts and onboarding for new contracts and major clients Coordinate national expansion projects ensuring regional alignment with HQ standards Conduct quarterly operational audits across all sites

Technology & Process Improvement



Own and optimise SmartTask (or alternative scheduling/ops system) Develop digital documentation for contracts, sites, and staff Identify and implement technology solutions to eliminate manual processes Create automated reporting systems for operational efficiency

Financial & Performance Management



Oversee contract-level SLA/KPI dashboards in partnership with Finance Align operational tools with finance systems for seamless integration Run operations KPI meetings and weekly dashboard reviews Monitor and improve cross-department workflows

Team Development & Standards



Design and deliver scalable onboarding flows and SOPs Train internal teams on best practices and operational excellence Develop playbooks for new site launches and crisis management Support recruitment strategy for operational roles

Compliance & Quality Assurance



Establish and maintain operational audit routines Review and enhance incident reporting systems Ensure alignment between field operations, business ops, and compliance Assess site mobilisation workflows and recommend improvements

Innovation & Competitive Advantage



Research and recommend technology for digital forms, patrol logs, and reporting Benchmark services against competitors Evaluate scheduling and attendance systems for scalability Lead transition from reactive to proactive operational planning
Essential Requirements

2+ years' experience in operations management, preferably in security, facilities management, or similar service industries Proven track record of implementing operational systems and driving process improvements Strong technology skills with experience in scheduling software, reporting tools, and digital transformation Financial acumen with ability to manage budgets and understand P&L impact Experience managing distributed teams and multi-site operations Excellent project management and organisational skills

Desirable Qualifications



Experience with scheduling platforms Knowledge of security industry regulations and SIA compliance Background in scaling service businesses Experience with change management and digital transformation Relevant operational or management qualifications
