AECOM is seeking a Sediment Management Engineer to join our Remediation Business Line in Chelmsford, Massachussetts. This role is ideal for an engineer who has foundational experience in sediment dredging projects and is looking to further develop their technical and project management skills. The ideal candidate will assist in site investigations, dredging design, and implementation in support of sediment remediation projects in aquatic and terrestrial environments.
As a Sediment Engineer, you will work closely with senior engineers and project managers to support the successful completion of remediation projects. You will gain valuable experience and training while contributing to site investigations, design efforts, and remediation implementation for sediment contamination projects under CERCLA and other regulatory frameworks.
The location of this position is flexible (Chelmsford, MA, Boston, MA, Providence, RI, Manchester, NH) and may be either in-office or hybrid. We are seeking individuals with experience in CERCLA (Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation, and Liability Act) along similar other project experience. Ideal candidates possess experience with sediment site investigations and remedial design, sediment remediation projects in river, lake, marine, or terrestrial environments. Our business line follows traditional and innovative sediment remediation technologies while supporting regulatory compliance efforts, including permit applications and report preparation along with sediment sampling, field data collection, laboratory analysis, and environmental modeling.
