Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled self-employed Fitter or team of two with own van to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in various fitting techniques and be proficient in using hand and power tools. As a Fitter, you will be responsible for assembling and installing joinery components around the UK in accordance with specifications. This role requires some heavy lifting and the ability to work with different materials, including wood, metal, plastics etc.

You will be required to travel around the UK to our various sites, staying away in pre booked hotels Monday to Friday

Duties

Assemble and install components using hand tools and power tools. Perform some heavy lifting as required for the assembly of components. Conduct joinery tasks to ensure precise fitting of materials. Carry out painting and finishing tasks to enhance the aesthetic appeal of completed projects. Collaborate with other tradespeople, to complete projects efficiently. Maintain a clean and safe working environment by following health and safety regulations.

Qualifications

Proven experience as a Fitter or in a similar role within construction or manufacturing environments. CIS qualified Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools safely and effectively. Strong skills in assembly, fabrication, joinery, and painting are highly desirable. Ability to perform some heavy lifting and physical tasks as required by the job. Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality work. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot issues as they arise.

Job Type: Freelance

Pay: 20.00-25.00 per hour
