Overview

We are seeking a skilled Joiner to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in joinery and be adept in using both hand and power tools. This role involves working on various projects that require precision and craftsmanship, contributing to the fabrication and assembly of structures and components. The Joiner will play a vital part in ensuring that all work meets our high standards of quality and safety. This job requires independent working with quality outputs and high standards. We are happy to consider the right candidate for a part-time employment. This is currently a self-employed vacancy with possibility for full-time employment.

Duties

Utilise hand tools and power tools to perform joinery tasks with precision. Fabricate wooden structures, including frames, doors, windows, and furniture. Assemble components according to specifications and drawings. Carry out painting and finishing work to enhance the appearance of completed projects. Perform masonry tasks as required, ensuring structural integrity. Assist with electrical installations related to joinery projects. Collaborate with team members on roofing projects, ensuring safety protocols are followed. Conduct heavy lifting as necessary while adhering to health and safety regulations. Maintain a clean and organised work area, ensuring tools and materials are stored correctly.

Experience

The successful candidate should possess the following skills:

Proven experience in joinery with a strong portfolio of completed projects. Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools safely and effectively. Familiarity with painting techniques and finishes. Knowledge of masonry practices is advantageous. Basic understanding of electrical work related to joinery is preferred. Ability to assemble various structures accurately. Experience with roofing tasks is a plus. Must be physically fit to handle heavy lifting and stand for extended periods.
