Overview

We are seeking a reliable and efficient Courier to join our logistics team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering goods promptly and safely across designated routes. Responsibilities

Safely operate delivery vehicles, including vans and lorries, to transport goods to various locations. Plan efficient routes to ensure timely deliveries while adhering to traffic laws and safety regulations. Load and unload items, often requiring heavy lifting, with attention to proper handling techniques. Communicate effectively with clients and team members regarding delivery schedules or any unforeseen issues. Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including signatures and proof of delivery documentation. Conduct routine vehicle inspections and report any maintenance issues promptly. Ensure the security of goods during transit and handle fragile or valuable items with care. Follow health and safety procedures at all times to minimise risks during operations.

Experience

Previous experience as a delivery driver or courier is highly desirable. Valid driver's licence with a clean driving record. Experience in commercial driving environments is advantageous. Familiarity with warehouse operations or logistics processes is beneficial. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely as part of daily duties. Strong communication skills to interact professionally with clients and team members. Proven organisational skills to manage schedules efficiently and adapt to changing priorities.
