Overview

We are seeking a reliable and efficient Courier to join our logistics team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering goods promptly and safely across designated routes. Duties

Safely operate delivery vehicles, including vans and lorries, to transport goods to various locations. Plan efficient delivery routes to ensure timely collection and drop-off of parcels. Load and unload items, often requiring heavy lifting, ensuring items are secured properly during transit. Maintain accurate delivery records and obtain necessary signatures upon delivery. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and clients regarding delivery schedules or any unforeseen delays. Conduct routine vehicle inspections to ensure safety standards are met and report any maintenance issues promptly. Adhere strictly to traffic laws and company policies to guarantee safety for all road users.

Experience

Proven experience as a delivery driver or courier, with a strong understanding of commercial driving regulations. Valid driver's licence with a clean driving record. Experience in warehouse operations or logistics is advantageous. Ability to perform heavy lifting and manual handling tasks efficiently. Excellent communication skills to liaise professionally with clients and team members. Familiarity with GPS navigation systems and route planning software is preferred.
