Job Overview

We are seeking a reliable and efficient Self Employed Courier with access to a Small van ideally (however all van sizes accepted), to deliver both local and nationwide for a major courier company in the Coventry area on an ad-hoc basis. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the timely delivery of packages and documents, ensuring that all items are handled with care and delivered to the correct locations. This role requires strong communication skills, the ability to navigate effectively, and a commitment to providing excellent service.

Responsibilities

Drive your own van to transport goods to various locations. no hand-balling. Communicate with clients and team members regarding delivery schedules and any potential issues. Maintain accurate records of deliveries and pickups, including signatures when required via use of our app. Perform basic vehicle maintenance checks to ensure safe operation. Adhere to all traffic laws and company policies while on the road.

Experience

Previous experience as a delivery driver or in a similar role is preferred. Previous experience with courier apps advantageous but not a necessity as an app guide will be provided. Ideally Coventry based as the fast response time to get to the Coventry hub is critical to the contract Strong organisational skills and attention to detail are essential. Ability to communicate effectively with clients and colleagues is crucial for success in this role.
