We are seeking a motivated and reliable Self Employed Courier to join our team. As a courier, you will be responsible for the timely and efficient delivery of packages and goods to various locations. This role requires strong customer service skills, attention to detail, and the ability to handle heavy lifting and moving tasks. You will operate a Long Wheel base Sprinter vehicle, ensuring that all deliveries are made safely and on schedule.
We supply the van, fuel and insurance.
No more than 6 points on your license.
You will need to apply for a Disclosure Scotland Certificate
Responsibilities
Deliver packages and goods to designated locations in a timely manner.
Load and unload items from the vehicle, ensuring proper handling of all materials.
Navigate routes efficiently while adhering to traffic laws and safety regulations.
Provide excellent customer service during deliveries, addressing any questions or concerns from clients.
Maintain accurate delivery records and documentation as required.
Operate warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks when necessary.
Assist with inventory management in the warehouse as needed.
Perform routine vehicle inspections and maintenance checks to ensure safe operation.
Experience
Previous experience as a delivery driver or courier is preferred.
Familiarity with commercial driving regulations and practices is beneficial.
Experience in warehouse operations is a plus, including loading/unloading and inventory management.
Ability to drive both manual transmission vehicles and LWB vans effectively.
Strong skills in customer service, with an emphasis on communication and problem-solving.
