Responsibilities

Safely operate delivery vehicles, including lorries or vans, to transport goods to designated destinations Plan efficient routes to optimise delivery times and minimise fuel consumption Load and unload packages, ensuring items are handled with care and secure during transit Maintain accurate delivery records and obtain necessary signatures upon receipt of goods Communicate effectively with clients regarding delivery schedules or any unforeseen delays Conduct routine vehicle inspections and report any maintenance issues promptly Adhere to all traffic laws, health and safety regulations, and company policies during deliveries

Requirements

Proven experience as a delivery driver or courier, with a clean driving licence or minor offences Experience in commercial driving and warehouse operations is advantageous Ability to perform heavy lifting when required, including loading and unloading items of varying sizes Excellent communication skills to interact professionally with clients and team members Strong organisational skills to manage routes efficiently and handle paperwork accurately Valid driving licence suitable for the vehicle type used in deliveries Ability to work independently, demonstrating reliability and punctuality in meeting deadlines
