We are seeking a reliable and efficient Courier to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering goods and packages promptly and safely across designated routes. This role requires excellent driving skills, organisational abilities, and strong communication to ensure customer satisfaction. Duties

Safely operate company vehicles, including vans or lorries, to deliver parcels to various locations within the assigned area Plan delivery routes efficiently to optimise time and fuel consumption Load and unload goods, ensuring proper handling and secure placement during transit Obtain signatures or proof of delivery from recipients as required Maintain accurate delivery records and update tracking systems accordingly Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery schedules or issues Conduct routine vehicle inspections to ensure safety standards are met and report any maintenance needs Assist with warehouse organisation, including heavy lifting of goods when necessary

Requirements

Proven experience as a delivery driver or courier, with a valid driver licence Experience in commercial driving and familiarity with local traffic laws and regulations Previous warehouse experience is advantageous, especially involving heavy lifting tasks Excellent communication skills to interact professionally with clients and team members Ability to organise deliveries efficiently and adapt to changing schedules Physical fitness to handle heavy loads and perform manual handling tasks safely A clean driving record with no recent offences or penalties related to driving safety
