Overview

We are seeking a reliable and efficient Courier to join our logistics team working in partnership with evri. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering goods promptly and safely across designated routes. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a passion for driving and customer service, looking to contribute to a dynamic organisation. The position involves in-person deliveries, requiring organisational skills and a professional attitude.

the job role is monday to saturday if you cover one round that has 100 parcels that will take about 3 hours to finish once your up to speed. Theres plenty of work to be done so you can fill your boots or just do the one round your allocated to. thats your choice. you must have use of your own transport either car/van is a must. For 1 round you cover around 20 miles if your local and fuel bill is usally around 60 a week depending on your vehicle. I can help towards fuel to get you started then its down to you to cover fuel bill.

Pay rate is 70p per parcel thats deliverd and a standard route has roughly around 90-150 parcels per day. The drop rate is around 20-40 parcels deliverd per hour. pay is the 15th of each month.

Duties

Plan delivery routes efficiently to optimise time and fuel consumption Load and unload items, often involving heavy lifting, ensuring items are secure during transit Maintain accurate delivery records and obtain necessary signatures upon completion of deliveries Communicate effectively with clients regarding delivery times or issues that may arise Follow all traffic laws and safety regulations to ensure safe delivery operations Assist with warehouse tasks when required, including organising stock and preparing parcels for dispatch

Qualifications

Proven experience as a delivery driver or courier is not preferred as full training is provided. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and effectively during loading and unloading processes Excellent communication skills to interact professionally with clients and team members Organised with the ability to plan routes and manage time effectively Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently under minimal supervision
