We are seeking a reliable and efficient Courier to join our team. They MUST HAVE their OWN VAN and HIRE & REWARD INSURANCE. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the timely delivery of packages and documents, ensuring that all items are handled with care and delivered to the correct locations. This role requires strong communication skills and the ability to manage time effectively while navigating various routes.
Responsibilities
Deliver packages and documents promptly and efficiently to designated locations.
Ensure accurate handling of items, maintaining their condition during transit.
Communicate effectively with clients and team members regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays.
Operate delivery vehicles safely, adhering to all traffic regulations and company policies.
Assist in loading and unloading items, which may involve heavy lifting.
Maintain accurate records of deliveries made, including any discrepancies or issues encountered.
Collaborate with warehouse staff to ensure a smooth flow of goods from storage to delivery.
Experience
Previous experience as a delivery driver is highly desirable.
Familiarity with commercial driving practices is an advantage.
Experience in a warehouse environment is beneficial, particularly in relation to handling goods.
Strong driving skills with a valid driver's license are essential.
Ability to perform heavy lifting as required during loading and unloading processes.
