Job Overview

We are seeking a reliable and skilled self empolyed 7.5 Tonne Driver to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe and efficient delivery of goods to various locations. This role requires excellent driving skills, strong communication abilities, and the capability to handle heavy lifting as part of daily operations.

Duties

Drive a 7.5 tonne lorry to transport goods safely and efficiently to designated locations. Ensure compliance with all road safety regulations and company policies while on the road. Communicate effectively with office staff and customers regarding delivery schedules and requirements. Load and unload goods, ensuring proper handling to prevent damage during transit. Perform routine vehicle checks to ensure the lorry is in good working condition before each journey. Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including any discrepancies or issues encountered during transport. Other delivery work in company vans when not on the road in the 7.5t

Requirements

Valid HGV Class C1 driving licence is essential for this position. Proven experience in commercial driving, particularly as a van driver or delivery driver. Strong communication skills to interact effectively with team members and customers. Ability to perform heavy lifting and manual handling tasks safely and efficiently. A good understanding of road safety regulations and best practices for driving a 7.5 tonne vehicle. A proactive attitude towards problem-solving and a commitment to delivering exceptional service. Avalible every other weekend
This role is ideal for individuals who enjoy working independently while being part of a dynamic team environment, contributing to the smooth operation of our logistics services. We do not do multi drop work, we are a small independent company.

Pay: From 15.00 per hour

Expected hours: No more than 56 per week
