. We are looking for an experienced

Self-employed Hair Stylist

who is confident in both colour and styling, and who want to work in a refined, design-led salon environment with a loyal, style-conscious clientele.

Duties

Provide a range of hair services including cutting, colouring, styling, and treatments tailored to individual client needs. Perform makeup application and eyelash extensions as required, ensuring clients receive a comprehensive beauty service. Engage in upselling additional services and products to enhance the client experience and meet salon targets. Assist in front desk operations, including scheduling appointments and managing client inquiries. Mentor junior stylists and apprentices, sharing knowledge and techniques to foster their professional development. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the salon environment to ensure a welcoming atmosphere for clients. Stay updated with the latest trends in hairstyling, barbering, and beauty services to provide informed recommendations to clients. Collaborate with team members to create an efficient workflow within the salon.

Qualifications

Proven experience as a Hair Stylist or similar role in a salon environment. Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients. Knowledge of various hair techniques including cutting, colouring, barbering, and styling. Experience in upselling services and products is highly desirable. Ability to manage front desk responsibilities efficiently while multitasking in a busy environment. A passion for mentoring others and contributing positively to team dynamics. Relevant qualifications or certifications in hairdressing or beauty therapy are essential.
