CARE ROLE for RORY LANDALE. AUTUMN 2025
We are looking for a live- in Carer for our 34 year old son, Rory Landale. The job is on Dalswinton Estate , near Dumfries (DG2 0XZ) in Rory's own accommodation (The recently developed and adapted Arches). The role is working 12 days on and then just over 2 weeks off , alternating with one other carer who has worked with Rory for just under 3 years. Rory's parents live a 3 minute walk from his home and are actively involved in his life and care. There is a long term rota made up and in place. We value commitment and consistency.
Rory was diagnosed with a brain tumour (craniopharyngioma) at the age of 2. This led to some long-term and irreversible damage. Amongst this he is 75% visually impaired and has a very impaired short term memory. Despite the above, he has a really happy, full life. He is great company and has a zest for living and life. There is never a dull moment!
