As our name suggests, we specialise in providing independent advice to members of the medical profession and we also help non-medics. Our aim is to always help our clients feel clear, confident and in control of their finances.

Due to the continuing expansion of our business, we are looking for a Self-Employed Mortgage and Protection Adviser to join our team based in Ottery St Mary.

Your role with us will include:-

1. Talking with clients to determine their expenses, income, insurance coverage, financial objectives, tax status, risk tolerance or other information needed to advise on a suitable mortgage and protection policy.

2. Answering clients' queries regarding the mortgage and protection process and the recommendations provided by you.

3. Building and maintaining your client base.

4. Deal with our re-mortgage clients.

5. Stay updated on FCA financial regulations and industry trends - Keep on top of relevant FCA financial regulations, laws, market trends and industry developments. Continuously expand your knowledge and expertise to provide up to date, relevant and accurate advice.

You will have a comprehensive induction from day one with full training on all our systems and processes. Experience with Acre would be good. We have invested in our systems to make the processes as seamless as possible to ensure good client outcomes. The personal touch for each and every one of our clients is very important to us.

We are looking for a Self-Employed Mortgage and Protection Adviser with a minimum of 2 years' experience qualified to CII CF6 (Mortgage Advice), CII R01 (Financial Services, Regulation and Ethics) and CII R05 (Financial Protection) or CeMAP equivalent. An entrepreneurial mindset with a deep understanding of the financial markets and an in-depth knowledge of the mortgage and protection market. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to explain financial concepts clearly to clients with varying levels of financial literacy. You will need to have high standards and a commitment to acting in the best interests of clients to achieve good client outcomes. With proven experience as a Mortgage and Protection Adviser demonstrating a successful track record in providing mortgage and protection advice, you must be able to work within defined business processes, FCA regulatory requirements and compliance standards in the financial industry.
