Job Description

Due to expansion and securing new contracts, we are looking to recruit owner-drivers within the Glasgow and surrounding area. The areas we are servicing are the G, PA and ML postcodes starting from our client's depot in Motherwell.

You will be delivering small furniture in flat boxes (e.g. gaming chairs, tables, doors etc.) with a volume of 40 to 50 drops per day (averaging around 40 to 75 parcels) with no installation or inhouse delivery required (all door-to-door delivery).

Please note this is a self-employed opportunity, and we require you to have:

A long or extra-long wheelbase van (e.g. Sprinter, Transit, Crafter etc.)

Hire and Reward insurance

Goods in Transit (GIT) insurance with a minimum 25k cover

Public liability insurance with a minimum 1m cover

Details of any cover drivers you plan to use and proof they are suitably insured

Work will continue after Christmas as this is a long term contract. We are looking for drivers to start week beginning 01/12/2025.

We are ideally looking for drivers with experience of working for large carriers such as: DPD, DHL, ParcelForce, FedEx, UPS etc.

We would look for drivers with full-time availability but also look to make contact with drivers looking for part-time to supplement other work they already have. Weekend availability is a must as well as drivers able to be called in to cover for sickness and breakdowns.

You will be paid a drop rate based on successful deliveries plus an uplift for fuel, with total earnings per day ranging from 195.00 to 255.00 (plus VAT if applicable) depending on the route. First payment will be made after 4 weeks with payments made weekly thereafter (Friday in week 5 you'll receive payment for week 1, and so on).
