The King's School seeks to appoint an outstanding and enthusiastic

Self-Employed Peripatetic Double Reed

Teacher to teach

oboe and bassoon

to pupils aged 8-18. The successful candidate will deliver high-quality individual lessons and small group tuition, nurturing pupils' technical and musical development at all stages.

We are looking for an inspirational teacher who:

Demonstrates a genuine enthusiasm for encouraging and developing young double reed players, fostering a love of these instruments across the school. Has proven experience of delivering 1:1 and small group instrumental tuition to pupils aged 7-18. Is committed to the school's ethos and to contributing positively to the wider life of a growing and ambitious Music School. Is passionate about inclusive music-making and motivated to support and inspire students from a variety of backgrounds and abilities. Seeks to instil a life-long enjoyment of music in every pupil.
This is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated and skilled musician to join a dynamic department that is committed to musical excellence and to broadening participation in instrumental study.

The role is part-time and would operate on a self-employed basis. The pay rate is currently

38 per hour.



Hours will be dependent on student numbers. Currently, day of teaching per week is required, with the potential for more.
