Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Plasterer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in plastering and related trades, demonstrating proficiency in various techniques and the ability to work with different materials. This role involves preparing surfaces, applying plaster, and ensuring high-quality finishes on both residential and commercial projects.

Responsibilities

Prepare surfaces for plastering by cleaning, levelling, and applying bonding agents as necessary. Mix plaster and other materials according to specifications for optimal application. Apply plaster to walls, ceilings, and other surfaces using hand tools and power tools. Ensure smooth finishes by sanding and polishing plastered areas as required. Collaborate with other tradespeople, including bricklayers, carpenters, and roofers, to ensure project timelines are met. Maintain a clean and safe working environment by following health and safety regulations. Conduct repairs on existing plasterwork, ensuring a seamless blend with surrounding areas. Keep accurate records of materials used and work completed.

Experience

Proven experience as a Plasterer or in a similar role within the construction industry is essential. Familiarity with hand tools and power tools commonly used in plastering and masonry work. Knowledge of bricklaying techniques is advantageous. Experience in carpentry or roofing will be considered a plus. Basic welding skills may also be beneficial for specific projects. Strong attention to detail with an emphasis on quality workmanship. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team to achieve project goals efficiently.
