Job Overview

We are seeking a reliable Self-Employed Van Driver . You will be responsible for transporting goods and ensuring timely deliveries while maintaining a high standard of safety and professionalism. This role requires excellent driving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate effectively with clients and team members.

Duties

Deliver goods to various locations as scheduled. Maintain your own vehicle in good working condition, performing regular checks and reporting any issues. Communicate with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays. Load and unload items, ensuring safe handling and compliance with weight limits. Adhere to all traffic laws and company policies while on the road. Keep accurate records of deliveries, mileage, and fuel consumption. Assist in heavy lifting as required during loading and unloading processes.

Skills

Proven experience as a Van Driver or in a similar delivery role is preferred. Strong driving skills with a valid driver's licence; experience in commercial driving is advantageous. Ability to maintain a clean driving record and pass background checks as necessary. Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with clients and team members. Capability to perform heavy lifting tasks when required. Strong organisational skills with attention to detail for accurate record keeping.
