About the Role:

We are looking for a

Support Worker

to provide companionship and some light duties for a lady in Bournemouth.

Day & Times: Saturdays either 12 - 3pm or 1- 4pm

The BCP Direct Payments Advice Service is a support service for individuals who are living independently within the community. We are not the person you will work for. You will work for the individual or family we are supporting.

Job purpose:

Job title: Self-Employed Support Worker

Job purpose:

To assist with tasks which will enable the person who needs care and support to live their personal and social life according to their wishes and interests.

About the individual:

The lady is in her 80s and has dementia. The role is primarily for social reasons and companionship within the client's home allowing her husband to have respite each weekend. The client is mobile and doesn't need personal care (toilet etc). She likes television and music and is a warm and welcoming person despite her condition.

Rate of pay:

As self-employed, please provide rates on application

Hours of work: Saturdays only, either 12 - 3pm or 1 - 4pm.

Social duties:

Sit and talk with the client

Watch television

Domestic duties:

Prepare and serve lunch

Light housework / tidy up afterwards

These duties may vary from day-to-day.
