We are seeking a dedicated and reliable individual to fulfil the role of Van Owner/Driver. This position involves the candidate Owning AND Driving a medium to large van , to facilitate the collection, transfer and delivery of goods across various locations. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring safe and efficient transportation while maintaining excellent communication with clients and team members. Prior warehouse experience and mechanical knowledge are advantageous, alongside strong driving skills and familiarity with delivery procedures. Responsibilities

Safely operate a van in accordance with road safety regulations. You MUST own a van, which needs to be a at least equal to a Sprinter/Transit/Master. Conduct pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure roadworthiness and report any issues promptly. Collect from and Deliver goods to designated locations, ensuring timely and accurate deliveries. Load and unload cargo using appropriate equipment, demonstrating mechanical knowledge where necessary. Maintain clear communication with volunteers, customers and clients regarding delivery schedules and any unforeseen delays. Adhere to all health and safety policies, including proper securing of loads during transit.

Qualifications

Experience in driving. Delivery driver experience is highly desirable. Mechanical knowledge related to vehicle maintenance and troubleshooting. Valid driver's licence with a clean driving record. Experience working in a charity or retail environment is advantageous. Strong communication skills for effective interaction with team members and clients. Familiarity with loading/unloading procedures using appropriate equipment such as hand trucks. Ability to organise workload efficiently, prioritising tasks effectively during busy periods. This role requires a responsible individual capable of maintaining high standards of safety, punctuality, and professionalism in all aspects of their work.

Pay: 12.50-15.00 per hour
