Job Overview

We are seeking a talented and passionate Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food production and a flair for creating exceptional dishes that delight our guests. As a Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing kitchen operations, ensuring food safety standards are met, and leading a team of kitchen staff to deliver outstanding dining experiences.

Duties

Prepare and cook high-quality meals in accordance with the restaurant's menu and standards. Supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance and support to ensure efficient food preparation and service. Maintain food safety and hygiene standards in compliance with health regulations. Manage inventory, including ordering supplies and minimising waste. Collaborate with the management team to develop new menu items and specials that reflect seasonal ingredients. Train and mentor junior kitchen staff in culinary techniques and best practices. Ensure the kitchen is clean, organised, and equipped for optimal performance during service hours.

Experience

Proven experience as a Chef or in a similar role within a restaurant environment. Strong knowledge of food production techniques, culinary arts, and kitchen management. Experience in supervising teams and managing kitchen operations effectively. Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices in food preparation. Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team.

Job Type: Freelance

Pay: 18.00-20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 8 - 12 per week

Schedule:

10 hour shift 12 hour shift 8 hour shift Monday to Friday Weekend availability
Willingness to travel:

25% (preferred)
