We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented self-employed Quantity Surveyor. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in conducting surveys, and ensuring efficient cost management throughout our construction projects.
Responsibilities:
Conduct on-site surveys to gather essential project data and evaluate conditions.
Collaborate with clients, subcontractors, and team members to develop proposals and resolve queries.
Analyse project specifications, drawings, and contract requirements.
Ensure all bids align with the client's scope and budgetary expectations.
Monitor project costs, updating estimates and reports to ensure budget adherence.
Review and negotiate contracts with suppliers and subcontractors.
Maintain detailed and organised records for all projects, estimates, and surveys.
Keep up-to-date with industry standards, pricing, and regulations.
Qualifications:
Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor, or in a similar role in construction.
Strong knowledge of construction processes, materials, and industry standards.
Knowledge of JCT suite of contracts
Excellent numerical and analytical skills.
Exceptional attention to detail and organisational skills.
Strong communication and negotiation abilities.
Relevant qualifications in construction, surveying, or a related field (preferred but not essential).
