SEMH Support Worker - The Role

• You'll be supporting pupils who present with Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs.
• Many have experienced disrupted education, trauma, or a loss of trust in school. Your job is to help rebuild that trust.
• Building safe, consistent relationships with pupils
• Supporting emotional regulation and positive behaviour
• Delivering 1:1 and small-group interventions
• Helping pupils re-engage with learning at a pace that works for them
• Working closely with teachers, therapists, and pastoral teams
• Being a calm, steady presence on the tough days and a champion on the good ones
• Located in Northampton, Northamptonshire

SEMH Support Worker - What we're Looking For

• You don't need to have worked in a school before, but you do need:

Resilience, empathy, and patience * Experience supporting young people with SEMH, trauma, or challenging behaviour (education, youth work, care, sports coaching, mentoring, etc.)

• A genuine passion for helping pupils
• The ability to stay calm, consistent, and solution-focused
• A willingness to learn and be part of a supportive team
• Commutable to Northampton, Northamptonshire
