SEMH Teacher - Sutton-in-Ashfield Job Title: SEMH Teacher

Grade: Up to \xc2\xa340,000 per annum
Contract Type: Full-Time, Permanent
Start Date: ASAP About the School: Our client, a leading provider of education and care for children and young people in Sutton-in-Ashfield, are currently seeking a dedicated SEMH Teacher to join their Ofsted-rated \'Good\' school on a permanent contract. The school is dedicated to supporting students with a primary need of SEMH aged between 11 to 18 years old. The school uphold extremely high standards of education and care, putting the children at the centre of everything they do to ensure all students have the best possible future. :
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate SEMH (Social, Emotional, and Mental Health) Teacher to join our team in Sutton-in-Ashfield. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 students who require additional support with their social, emotional, and mental well-being. Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, deliver, and assess tailored lessons to meet the individual needs of students with SEMH requirements.
  • Create a safe, inclusive, and nurturing learning environment that promotes positive behaviour and emotional well-being.
  • Collaborate with the SENCO (Special Educational Needs Coordinator) and other staff members to develop and implement personalised learning plans.
  • Monitor and track the progress of students, providing regular feedback to both students and parents or guardians.
  • Work closely with external agencies and professionals to support the holistic development of students.
  • Foster positive relationships with students, establishing trust and promoting their social and emotional growth.
Requirements:
  • QTS/QTLS or possess a Certificate in Education
  • Experience working with students with SEMH needs is highly desirable.
  • Strong understanding of SEMH challenges and strategies to support students effectively.
  • Ability to adapt teaching approaches to meet the diverse needs of students.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
