8:30 AM - 3:30 PM (Full Time) | Part Time Hours Available


Daily Rate:

89 (Pro Rata for Part Time)

About the Role



We are looking for a compassionate and motivated

SEMH Teaching Assistant

to join our caring and inclusive school community in

Heathfield

. This is a rewarding opportunity to support a child with

social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH)

needs, helping them to build confidence, develop self-regulation skills, and thrive within the classroom environment.


You'll work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to provide consistent 1:1 support, using

patience, empathy, and creativity

to help the pupil overcome barriers to learning.


Your Responsibilities



Supporting a pupil with SEMH needs in both academic and social settings Promoting emotional wellbeing, positive behaviour, and self-esteem Adapting tasks and resources to suit individual learning styles Implementing strategies to manage behaviour and encourage engagement Building trusting relationships with pupils, staff, and families to create a consistent support network

About You



We're seeking someone who is:


Kind, patient, and resilient, with a genuine passion for supporting young people Able to build strong, nurturing relationships based on trust and respect Confident working as part of a collaborative school team Experienced in supporting pupils with SEMH or SEND (desirable, but not essential -- training will be provided)
