We are looking for a calm and resilient Teaching Assistant to support children with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs in a welcoming Kendal school. You will work 1:1 and with small groups, helping pupils feel safe, understood, and able to engage with learning. Your role will include supporting emotional regulation, building positive routines, and encouraging small steps that lead to lasting progress.

Patient, consistent, and supportive
Confident working 1:1 and in small group settings
Able to build trust through encouragement and clear boundaries
Comfortable supporting children with challenging behaviour
Skilled at working with teachers, parents, and professionals
Experience with SEMH, trauma, or additional needs is desirable
Working Hours
Monday to Friday, 8.30am to 3.30pm
Term-time only
