SEMH Teaching Assistant!

About the Role
Teaching Personnel is looking for empathetic and motivated Teaching Assistants to join our specialist SEMH team. In this role, you'll work in schools and provisions dedicated to supporting students with SEMH challenges, helping them overcome barriers to learning and achieve their potential.
Your Responsibilities

• Provide tailored support to students with SEMH needs, fostering emotional resilience and confidence.
• Assist in implementing strategies to support students' behavioural and emotional development.
• Work closely with teachers and support staff to create a nurturing and inclusive learning environment.
• Build trusting relationships with students, encouraging positive engagement and self-expression.
• Support the implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and behaviour management strategies.

About You

• Experience in working with children or young people with SEMH needs is highly valued.
• You're patient, empathetic, and resilient, with a natural ability to build rapport with students facing challenges.
• You're a proactive problem-solver who thrives in a supportive and dynamic environment.
• A passion for making a meaningful impact on young lives is essential.

• Enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to apply for one.
• Two references.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
