An opportunity has arisen in an established fast growing Accountancy firm for a Semi-Senior Accountant. The responsibilities of this role will require working in all aspects of the Accountancy profession such as bookkeeping, accounts production and tax.

The opportunity offers progression opportunities as we continue to grow, including opportunities to manage your own portfolio/client base.

Contracted hours:

37.5 hours per week

Key roles & responsibilities will include:

Preparing

working papers

and annual accounts for sole traders, partnerships and owner managed SMEs for manager review

Prepare statutory accounts in accordance with UK FRS 105 and FRS 102 for manager review

Prepare corporation tax returns for our clients with small-sized companies

Prepare and review VAT returns produced by junior members of staff, and submissions

Communicating with clients

Liaise with HMRC on behalf of clients

Work confidently with various computer and accounting software such as Xero, quickbooks & Sage

Support the supervision and training of junior staff members

The individual

Minimum 3 years of practice experience

ACCA/ACA part qualified / AAT qualified

Good oral/written English skills

Experience with Xero/QuickBooks or similar cloud software packages.

Quality assurance and customer care

Effective business communication and team working spirit
