We are a small accountancy and business advisory practice, which provides a range of services to meet the needs of our varied client base. We are looking for a full-time semi-senior accountant to integrate into our small yet vibrant team.

Job description/responsibilities
This list of duties is not exhaustive, with the role being well-rounded and providing opportunity to develop skills to benefit both the individual and the practice:
Preparing financial statements for individuals, partnerships and Limited Companies.
Liaising with clients to obtain information relevant to the preparation of accounts/tax returns.
Completing electronic working papers with back-up schedules to support figures.
Bookkeeping to aid the production of VAT returns and annual accounts.
Preparing management accounts.
Assisting clients in transitioning to using accounting software to ensure MTD compliance.
Assisting payroll processing where required.

Ability to work both independently, as well as possessing strong teamwork skills.
Strong commercial awareness, attention-to-detail and resilience under pressure.
Refined analytical, numerical and problem-solving skills to be able to work to tight deadlines.
Highly personable and professional in communicating with both colleagues and clients.
Willingness to progress (assisted through access to CPD training webinars to enhance personal development).
Qualifications/experience
ACA/ACCA part/fully qualified, AAT fully qualified, or an exceptional qualified by experience candidate.
Ideally some level of experience working within an accountancy practice.
Experience with various accountancy/bookkeeping software (Xero, Sage 50, Sage One, QuickBooks, IRIS etc.).

This job opportunity is available for an immediate start, but we welcome applications from candidates able to start within 3 months.
Ability to commute to work (driver's licence desirable).
Competitive salary dependent on experience and qualifications.
