Overview


We are seeking a skilled Welder to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in various welding techniques and fabrication processes. This role requires attention to detail, mechanical knowledge, and the ability to work with hand and power tools effectively. As a Welder, you will contribute to the production of high-quality metal components and assemblies, ensuring that all work meets industry standards. As one of Scotland's largest 'Waste Management Buisnesses' we are looking for a Semi-Skilled welder fabricator to ensure our large stock of skips are kept in a operational condition.

Responsibilities



Perform MIG and Stick welding on various materials, ensuring precision and quality in every weld. Utilise hand tools and power tools for fabrication tasks, including cutting, grinding, and finishing metal components. Read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints to determine project specifications. Assemble fabricated parts according to engineering specifications while maintaining high standards of quality control. Conduct routine maintenance on welding equipment to ensure optimal performance. Collaborate with team members to meet production deadlines while adhering to safety protocols. Maintain a clean and organised work environment, ensuring all tools and materials are stored correctly.

Qualifications



Proven experience in welding, particularly in MIG and Stick welding techniques. Familiarity with fabrication processes, including sheet metal work and assembly techniques. Proficient in using hand tools and power tools relevant to welding tasks. Basic mathematical skills for measurements and calculations related to projects. A keen eye for detail with a commitment to producing high-quality work. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Pay: 16.71-22.35 per hour
