We're now recruiting for the 2025/2026 academic year and have flexible teaching opportunities across Hampshire, supporting children and young people who need 1:1 provision outside mainstream school.

What you'll be doing:
Working 1:1 or 2:1 with children and young people in their homes or specialist settings in Hampshire
Planning and delivering personalised, creative, educational sessions that reflect each learner's needs, interests and abilities, particularly in Maths and English
Running sessions during the school day (term time only) that typically last 3 to 5 hours
Engaging with students who may have autism, ADHD, SEMH needs, GDD or complex needs and helping them achieve outcomes at their pace
Working flexibly as part of a compassionate, expert-led team that values you and your skills
Who we're looking for:
We welcome applications from individuals who have:
Experience (at least 1 year) as teachers, tutors, teaching assistants, SEN specialists and education professionals who have directly supported young people with SEN/SEMH needs
A background in Early Years, Primary, Secondary, Functional Skills or Post 16 teaching, or specialist SEND environments
A minimum of 2 consistent weekdays available
An up-to-date knowledge of safeguarding and child protection
Familiarity with Makaton, PECS or other communication strategies is an advantage, as are de-escalation and behaviour management skills.
What you can expect from Fresh Start in Education:
25-35 per hour, depending on experience
