Job Description
SEN Homeschooling Teacher
We are seeking a hands-on SEN Homeschooling Tutor (Primary Generalist) to lead individualised sessions for a student with complex needs. This role focuses on communication, sensory engagement, and emotional connection rather than traditional academics. Experience supporting children with learning disabilities is essential.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan and deliver weekly sessions, integrating therapy goals from SLT, OT, Physio, and AAC teams Supporting with Primary level subjects Facilitate indoor and outdoor activities, including creative projects, functional life skills, and accessible literacy/numeracy Support use of communication devices, including Eye Gaze, PECS, and Makaton Collaborate with the TA and programme manager via WhatsApp Write monthly and termly reports
Details:
Start: ASAP Hours: 25/week, Monday-Friday, 9am-2pm 60% of sessions outdoors (woods, parks, seafront) Driving ability preferred No water-based activities in pools or the sea
